Australia Day at Aussie World attracts thousands of people looking for family fun. The day is filled with true blue events, entertainment and food suitable for the entire family with loads of prizes and give-aways.
Ettamogah Pub Activities
At the Ettamogah Pub the fun and frivolity starts at 10am with a patriotic Australian flag raising ceremony followed by the singing of the national anthem. Then it's time for the Dunny's to start racing! It's hotly contested with eight corporate teams taking part. They'll be jockeying for their positions in the Dunny Heats starting at 10.20am and the final takes place around 12noon. The winners are presented with a toilet seat trophy that declares them Dunny Race Champions of the World!
Inside the Ettamogah make sure you enter the competition to win $7,500 worth of white goods including a plasma tv, sound system, dvd recorder, fridge, esky, dishwasher, washing machine and clothes dryer! Tickets are $1 each with the purchase any Foster's Group product. The winner doesn't need to be present but if you are you'll also receive a $100 Bluey's Bar & Grill voucher.
One man band and legendary country rock guitarist Bo Jenkins will be playing inside the Ettamogah Pub from 11am to 3pm. Bluey's Bar & Grill upstairs at the Ettamogah Pub, where the servings are huge and the service is legendary, will be open for lunch and dinner.
Aussie World Activities
Inside Aussie World there will be plenty of Australia Day activities just for the kids. In addition to over 30 rides and games the kids competitions include kids hula-hoop, kids thong throwing, kids sausage roll eating, kids vegemite art and the messy but fun watermelon eating competition.
There's a great raffle prize to be won - 3 nights at The Sebel Noosa Heads including breakfast for 2 people and $1000 cash spending money. And, if you're present at the 3pm draw you'll win an extra $500!!
From 11am there'll be a true-blue Aussie BBQ in The Shed with live music by Aussie duo "Me and Mrs Jones". FJ's Café will also have plenty of tucker available all day long including their famous foot long hot dogs, steak sandwiches, hamburgers, sandwiches, ice cream and coffee. Caloundra Air Museum will have an aircraft cockpit on display where the kids can sit in and pretend to be a fighter pilot. There's also a workshop area set aside for the kids to draw their very own Australian flag.
Other entertainment during the day includes roving performers, circus entertainment, craft mania, funny clowns, face painting and loads more.
To get yourself into the true-blue Aussie spirit decorate a hat in Australia Day colours and receive a free return pass!

The Australia Day Dunny Races are free to watch from the Ettamogah Pub but entry into Aussie World for the other activities is $25 per person which includes unlimited rides all day. There's also a value for money $80 Four Person Pass.
